Meet your artisans
Sunita Karki is an instrumental leader on our factory floor. In her supervisory role, she walks the fine line between ensuring that the factory’s project pipeline is being completed on time and that her colleagues’ morale remains high. Often referred to as “Ama” by those she works with, everyone openly admires her beaming smile which remains steadfast come rain or shine. Originally from Sunakothi, a small village in the south of Kathmandu Valley, she has been an important part of our factory for over nine years and apprenticed many young knitters. Wearing her heart on her sleeve, Sunita confides that her perfect weekend involves hosting large family gatherings at her home and helping her eight year old son with his school work where she can.
